Workplace Diversity: Equity Groups
The Workplace Diversity plan addresses the under-representation of women in managerial and non-traditional occupations throughout the public service.
Managerial occupations for women include all those in the management and professional levels.
The Government of Saskatchewan has adopted the Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission policy with respect to women as a designated group for employment equity purposes. The policy states:
As of March 2012, 54.9 per cent of the Saskatchewan public service workforce had self identified as women.
